-have completed high school education
-have completed college small engine technician training
-have previous experience working at power sports dealership in a service department
-have in-depth technical knowledge
-have at least 2 years previous full-time experience as a mechanic (atv, motorcycle, small engine, auto)
-own a full set of hand tools for work
-Valid drivers license (with no restrictions)
-be knowledgeable with the Power Sports industry (ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Snowmobiles etc).
-be knowledgeable with small engine / outdoor power equipment (lawn mowers, snow blowers, chain saws, etc).
-have excellent organizational skills
-be an efficient worker
-have good communication skills (written, verbal, phone, email)
-be a fast learner
-be able to work with a team and be able to get along with others
-have and maintain a positive attitude!
-Reports to the service manager
-Must be reliable and report to work on time for every shift
-Completes work orders as assigned by the Service Advisor
-Occassional field repairs / installs, as needed / assigned
-Perform high quality work / repairs at all times
-Recommend additional repairs when needed
-Document all parts used and details of work performed / recommended repair on work order
-Keep good records and photos of repair work
-Accurately punch in and out of jobs on the work order
-Maintain work areas in a clean and organized condition
-Follow standard operational and safety procedures
-Keep up to date with the latest industry news, trends, standards, products, best practices, etc
-Keep up to date with all manufacturers recommended service, repair and maintenance requirements / best practices and product specifications.
-Keep up to date with all manufacturers warranty policies and procedures.
-Keep up to date with all manufacturers training / education.
-Communicate clearly with Service Advisor on a regular basis
-All actions by the employee during employment must be for the good and continued growth of the company
-All other duties as assigned
